The CFA Society® community in Asia Pacific is focused on ensuring the CFA® charter is recognised as the “gold standard” designation for anyone wishing to pursue a career in finance. Local societies across the region have launched career portals that help to support member and candidate needs, while raising the profile of the CFA designation among employers.
CFA Societies Australia and New Zealand career showcase
To enhance brand awareness and raise the value of the CFA designation among university students and employers, CFA Societies Australia and CFA Society New Zealand have launched a career showcase website.
The portal is a combined effort of four societies – CFA Society Sydney, CFA Society Melbourne, CFA Society Perth and CFA Society New Zealand. The site helps users to explore opportunities, gain career insights and access resources. It also features a diverse group of 20 CFA® charterholders across gender, seniority and industry.
The site includes video assets in addition to the charterholders’ stories to better engage the audience. To promote the portal to prospects, candidates, members and the community at large, a one-month digital advertising campaign was launched on 24 August 2020. The societies are excited to have another tool in their belts to showcase how the CFA charter can benefit those interested in a career in the investment management industry.

CFA Society Bangladesh, CFA Society Indonesia and CFA Society Philippines launch career portals
To demonstrate the value of the CFA designation among multiple stakeholders and drive engagement with locally produced Career Guides, CFA Society Bangladesh, CFA Society Indonesia and CFA Society Philippines have recently developed their own Career Portals.
The career portals provide digital adaptations of the Career Guides developed by each local society. They feature a Career Center, where users can explore job opportunities; relevant content, such as the APAC CareerCast podcast; a Career Adaptability test; and an online Career assessment.
The portals aim to engage local prospects, candidates, members and employers and feature inspiring stories of local CFA® charterholders working in different areas of the investment management industry.
The CFA Society Bangladesh Career Portal shares the personal stories of 19 CFA® charterholders that were featured in its Career Guide, created in FY18.
Md. Shaheen Iqbal, CFA, President, CFA Society Bangladesh said: “The CFA charter is a clear demonstration of Ethics, Integrity and Professionalism. The unique traits of CFA charterholders will continue to lead them professionally in career developments in the days to come.”
The CFA Society Philippines Career Portal provides richer content of its Career Guide, which was completed in FY19. Features include industry profiles, employers’ testimonials and CFA charterholders’ career paths.
On the career portal, the President of CFA Society Philippines, Dr. Robert B. Ramos, CFA, CIPM, encourages users to: "Always strive to be the best version of yourself."
The career portal developed by CFA Society Indonesia uses the experience of its accomplished CFA charterholders to inspire and guide users on their path to success.
