Business planning enables the CFA Society® community to effectively govern its finances. The process encourages strategic planning and budgeting to be done prior to the end of the member year (the fiscal year end for approximately two-thirds of the CFA Society network).
CFA Institute requests that each local society submits an annual business plan and budget for the upcoming fiscal year to enable us to focus resources and support common objectives and planned activities.
This year, there was an updated, streamlined process for collecting information related to annual business planning and operational funding requirements. As a result, the data has been consolidated and will be shared with the CFA Society community for future planning efforts.
Your local society customized report, along with a definitions resource guide, will be uploaded to your SalesForce library from 10 November 2020. This ‘Consolidated Society FY21 Business Plan Data Report’ will contain anonymized, consolidated business plan data that will allow each society to see its budgeted financials in comparison to anonymized societies in its size range and sub-region, as well as summarized objectives and KPIs.
Some examples of the data contained in this report include:
FY21 Budgeted Expenses compared to Sub-Regional and Society Size Averages
FY21 Budgeted Expenses % plotted amongst Societies of Same Size
FY21 Key Performance Indicators compared to Sub-Regional and Society Size Averages
