On Tuesday, 30 March 2021, Society Center will transition to the same training platform where society leaders and staff currently go to complete the Society Leader Orientation. In doing so, we are creating a one-stop shop for most, if not all, of your training and operational needs.
To prepare for this transition, we completed a robust content audit of the Society Center to ensure the new Society Center contains the most up-to-date information and resources you need to support your society’s operations. Not only did this streamline the volume of content we were making available, we have also been able to structure the content so it is easier to navigate. You should be able to find what you need, when you need it, in as few clicks as possible.
What actions do you need to take on 30 March?
- Did you save the URL to the old Society Center in your browser’s bookmarks? If so, delete it.
- Bookmark the URL for the new Society Center.
- Look for changes to the Societies section of www.cfainstitute.org. We will provide a link to the new Society Center from there.
Where do you find information between now and 30 March?
Most content is still accessible in the old Society Center. As content becomes available in the new Society Center, it will be linked to from relevant articles in Connexions or via emails you receive from Society Relations and/or Society Operations.
In fact, you can log in to the new Society Center right now and see what content we have already made available! It is important to note that all business critical content will be available in the new Society Center no later than 30 March. We will continue to make additional content live in the days that follow.
What can you expect after 30 March?
- The old Society Center will no longer be accessible.
- We will continue to make content available in the site.
- We will be looking for opportunities to enhance your experience with the site. For example, while there is a limited search function for now, we do plan on introducing a more robust keyword search later this year.
What does the new Society Center look like?
The mockup provided here highlights what you can expect on 30 March. Not only can you easily access the Society Leader Orientation, but you will be able to navigate content using the tiles you see here on the homepage. We encourage you to take some time to navigate the site and become familiar with it.
