CFA Institute is committed to improving the member experience and is currently reviewing the number of survey requests made to members, and the time required to respond to each request.
In order for CFA Institute to remain valuable and relevant to its membership, member feedback and insights are essential. Indeed, CFA Society insights are collected and used to support the organisation’s strategic plan and priorities.
The aim of this review is to develop more effective data gathering approaches and tools and to ensure CFA Institute is aligned with GDPR and other legal requirements. This time will also be used to evaluate progress against Societies 2.0 roadmap objectives.
In addition to ad hoc surveys, there are two substantial satisfaction surveys conducted annually – one of members and one of CFA Societies:
Member Survey
The member survey helps CFA Institute understand what is important to members and the results are used to inform business strategy and decisions.
It has been agreed that this year’s member satisfaction survey will be significantly scaled back. The survey will primarily focus on the collection of key strategic corporate performance metrics. Concurrently, CFA Institute will evaluate longer-term needs and consider a reduction in frequency of this survey.
The survey will be sent to the global membership in May 2019 and findings will be shared in August 2019.
Society Satisfaction Survey
This annual survey gathers feedback from Society leaders on their overall satisfaction with CFA Institute and to find out which strategic priorities are most important for Societies to focus on over the coming year.
This year’s society satisfaction survey will also be scaled back, with a key focus on assessing satisfaction with our partnership and evaluating progress against Societies 2.0 roadmap objectives.
The survey will be sent to CFA Societies in late May.
Moving forward, CFA Institute will look at product feedback needs and how to balance those with providing an excellent member experience. Ultimately, the plan is to move to more timely, targeted efforts for gathering member feedback.
