Why Pursue Sponsorship?
The overarching goal of institutional engagement is to establish and maintain partnerships with firms and investment managers that enable us to work together in building a better investment profession. Sponsorships are key to those relationships because they provide benefits for both partners, and support the attainment of our individual and shared goals.

Every Society Can Pursue Sponsorship
There will be differences based on your society’s size, local market, and the institutions present in your market, but every society can pursue – and benefit from – sponsorship. The following steps will help you determine how to get your society started.
Understand Your Market
Smaller societies can focus on pursuing sponsorships for select events with a few local institutions. As society size, market, and the number of potential sponsoring firms increase, societies should increase their sponsorship engagement accordingly.
Determine the Scope
Based on your society’s size, your local market, potential sponsors available, and your overall sponsorship revenue goal, determine what sponsorship opportunities you want to offer and pursue. Activities listed are for example only. Work with your Society Relations Manager to develop your society’s specific strategy.
