To help engage those individuals that have passed Level III of the CFA Program, CFA Society Hong Kong (formerly HKSFA) recently launched a post-exam networking event.
Developed by the Candidates Education Committee, the event provided Level III candidates with the support and advice needed to help them gain their CFA charters. The Society also encouraged these individuals to engage with the Society as a new member.
Calvin Cheung, chair of the Candidates Education Committee, CFA Society Hong Kong said, "This was a full-house event, with extraordinary engagement from the Level III candidates. There was an overwhelming response at the Q&A session, especially on the topic of application details of our regular membership. We even had interest from some individuals to volunteer for our society and to attend our Awards Night on 22 November 2019.”
In addition to raising the professional and ethical standards of financial analysts, the CFA Society Hong Kong is focused on helping candidates that have passed Level III of the CFA Program through their journey to professionalism. This event is one way the Society can help to support and engage these individuals.
Calvin added, “We appreciate the work of the Committee’s vice chair, David Ching, CFA, and other volunteers, as they helped to drive this new idea and created such a successful event. We also thank Janice Hon, Associate Manager, Society Membership Services, CFA Institute, for sharing the process and requirements of applying for the CFA charter, and CFA Society Hong Kong’s President, Tony Watson, CFA, for sharing his extraordinary career and volunteer journey!”
