With financial support from Thailand's Capital Market Development Fund, CFA Society Thailand recently conducted a national CFA Level I mock exam for Thai registrants and awarded scholarships to those participants who achieved the highest scores.

The initiative was launched to help increase the number of CFA Level I candidates in Thailand and improve the exam pass rate. The local society promoted the mock exam through online groups for candidates, emails to candidates, and a CFA Career Day Facebook Live. Within six hours of registration opening, 558 individuals had signed up for the mock exam. On 19 February 2022, the exams took place in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, and Songkla.

CFA Society Thailand was delighted to award 50 scholarships to those participants that achieved the highest scores. The scholarship covers the CFA Program Level 1 Digital Curriculum and Study Tools, CFA Program Enrollment, Exam Registration for November 2022, and Wiley's Gold online preparation course.

Speaking about the importance of this initiative, Sornchai Suneta, Vice President of CFA Society Thailand said: “We want to promote the development and modernization of the Thai capital market by increasing the number of Thai CFA® charterholders who commit to the industry's highest standards of ethics and excellence. This scholarship project makes it possible for anyone to begin their CFA journey and, in the future, become our CFA charterholders.”
