CFA Society Denmark joined forces with CFA Society Finland, CFA Society Norway and CFA Society Sweden to launch the 1st Nordic Investment Conference on 19 September 2019.
Supported by CFA Institute and The Danish Finance Society, the conference was hosted in Copenhagen and attracted more than 200 investment professionals. The conference focused on the Nordic Model within investment management and experts discussed asset management, sustainable investing, private equity and fintech in the region.
Michael Albrechtslund, CEO, CFA Society Denmark said: “Judging from the feedback we got, I believe the conference had a strong impact on the delegates’ mindsets. We do a number of things differently in the Nordics, not only in terms of how we organize asset management operations, but also in the way we address the challenges in front of us. Bo Knudsens talk on building a people’s business, Mariana Mazzucato’s keynote speech on how we should rethink value creation, as well as Antti Ilmanen’s key messages on how to address low expected returns, was an eyeopener to a lot of people. Hence, it has created a stronger interest in how we conduct investment business in the Nordics, that is sustainable in every aspect.”

“Hosting this conference and attracting the quality of speakers we did, definitely raised the profile of our local Society, as well as the other Nordic Societies. I also sense that the conference already has a very strong footprint in the market as well as people are expecting that we deliver again next year,” Michael Albrechtslund added.
