We are excited to officially kick off the 2024 Presidents Council elections cycle!
This year, all society presidents/chairs will vote to elect a new Presidents Council Chair (PCC) for the 1 September 2024–31 August 2026 term.
In addition, society presidents/chairs from the following subregions will vote in Presidents Council Representative (PCR) elections for the 1 September 2024–31 August 2026 term:
Key dates for the 2024 Presidents Council Election process follow:
- 21 February: Elections Kickoff
- 7 March–26 March: Nomination Period
- 27 March–1 April: Application Review Period
- 3 April–16 April: Campaign Period
- 17–19 April: PCR Presentations
- 20–24 April: Q&A Period
- 25 April–3 May: Balloting
- 7 May: Verification Process Begins
- 9 May: Results Verified
- 9–11 May: Results Announced to Candidates
- 14 May: Results Announced to Regional PC Members
- 1 September: New Term Begins

The qualifications and recommended background to serve as a PCC or PCR are as follows:
- CFA® charterholder in good standing
- At least three years’ experience as a society Board member, at the commencement of the PCR term
- Experience as a society President would be favorably considered
- Society and/or CFA Institute volunteer experience
To submit your nomination, the following must be sent to presidentscouncil@cfainstitute.org by 11:59 pm ET on 21 March:
- a statement of your qualifications and intention to run for PCR
- an electronic photograph of yourself
- a statement (no more than 300 words) of your vision for the term
- a three- to five-minute video of yourself speaking (optional)
- a nomination from a third party. This can be a one-line email.
- a letter of reference from a third party
