As we reach the end of 2020, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your collaboration, commitment, and flexibility. It has been a challenging year for all, facing a global pandemic and having to adapt our lives both at home and work. The CFA Society® community should be incredibly proud of everything that has been achieved this year and we look forward to further strengthening our efforts in 2021.

Thank you to society leaders and staff for attending the Virtual 2020 Society Leadership Conferences (SLCs). We hope you found this a helpful opportunity to put questions to new members of the leadership team. If you were unable to attend, you can watch recordings of the three region-specific events here.
The 2021 Society Awards Programme will be kicking off in January, allowing the CFA Society community to reflect on successes from the past year and recognize volunteers. The awards will follow a similar format to the 2020 Society Awards Programme. Look out for further information in the new year.
On 1 December 2020, the CFA Institute Future of Finance research team released its report on the Future of Sustainability in Investment Management. The report highlighted that to increase the adoption, effectiveness, and impact of sustainable investing, organizations, investment professionals and the wider industry must focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) education. Visit the resources page on Connexions to access tiles that your local society can post on your social channels to promote the report.
In other ESG news, CFA Institute and CFA Society United Kingdom are pleased to be progressing the globalization of the Certificate in ESG Investing, thus helping to raise standards for the ultimate benefit of society.
Sending my best wishes for a safe and healthy rest of the year.
Kind regards,
Randi Tolber

Later this week, our PL program participants will be recognised with a special campaign.
OUTREACH
Exam Updates Reminder
Thank you for supporting candidates as they navigate changes to the CFA exam schedules. We encourage you to bookmark our CFA Exam Updates page, our primary source of information about expanded exam options, new testing windows, our refund policy, and more, to support candidates through their testing options.
Approved Prep Provider Announcement
After a strategic review, CFA Institute has decided to sunset the Approved Prep Provider Program at the end of 2021. We recognize these changes will require significant adjustments on the part of providers, which is why we are providing a year of notice before ending the program. We also believe that seeing the program through year-end 2021 supports candidates through the first year of computer-based testing and during the global pandemic. We will continue our special relationship with the CFA Society network, as local societies represent a tremendous opportunity to enhance the candidate preparation experience by offering local candidates insights into prep providers or their own prep services. We look forward to seeing the evolution of our relationship with prep providers—as well as the evolution of how CFA Institute and other constituents supports the candidate experience—over the next 12 months. Please read more about this decision and access FAQs here.
