CFA Society South Florida has been actively increasing and enhancing brand recognition among employers and investors in the Private Wealth community in South Florida through a variety of initiatives. One of the ways in which they have done this is by running a Brand Campaign.
With the help of Society Brand Awareness funding from CFA Institute, the Society was able to significantly increase its brand marketing.
As part of increasing brand awareness amongst the Private Wealth community, the Society hosted the Wealth Management 2019 Conference on 1 – 3 April 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which was well attended by society members, as well as the investment community.
Psychologist, and behavioral finance expert, Daniel Crosby was one of the key speakers and he discussed the four most common behavioral biases and ways to counteract them. Here’s a write-up of his talk, which was about how investors can fall victim to four types of cognitive biases, and how they can counteract them. Having such a prominent and well-known speaker was a big draw and certainly attributed to the success of the conference.
Christina Worley, CFA, CFA Society South Florida said: “The Wealth Management 2019 conference was totally aligned with the CFA Society South Florida initiative for greatly enhancing our brand recognition in the South Florida area among employers and investors in the Private Wealth Community. We did significantly increase our brand marketing, along with CFA Institute matching the funding, and our Board believes we had great local exposure. We had many society members and members of the public at large who mentioned the brand campaign; it was a real home run!”
